CLINTON CROSS COUNTRY MEET
DIRECTIONS
Directions to Athens Community Park Estimated Trip Time 1:10 I) Directions: Take 10 West to Lincoln. Go right at the Stop sign. Take this road around the curve and through Lincoln until you get to the interstate 55 interchange. Get on 55 South toward Springfield. Take exit 109 toward IL-123 Williamsville/Petersburg. Turn right onto IL-123. Turn right onto IL-29. Turn Left onto Hargrave St. This goes by the HS on the right, the park will be on the left shortly after the HS. II) Shorter Directions: Take 54 West to Mt. Pulaski turn off. Turn right at 121. Turn Left on Elkhart Road. Go through Elkhart to the Interstate 55 Interchange. Get on 55 South. Take exit 109 toward IL-123 Williamsville/Petersburg. Turn right onto IL-123. Turn right on IL-29. Turn left into Athens on Hargrave Street. This goes by the High School (on the right). Go past the HS and over the tracks, turn into the sports complex on the left just after the tracks. CC Course is behind BB diamond. Directions to Clinton Home Meets - Little Galilee From the North: (Easy, fewer turns) Start by going South on 51 Keep going past WHOW and look for the sign on the right that points to Little Galilee Turn Right and go straight on this road until you must turn right Look for the first left - there is a small sign on the right side of the road there for L.G. Turn Left on that road Go about ¼ mile Little Galilee is on the right. From the South on Highway 51 There will be a large sign a few miles North of Maroa on the LEFT side of the road that says "Little Galilee". Turn left there. Go straight on this road until you must turn right Look for the first left - there is a small sign on the right side of the road there for L.G. Turn Left on that road Go about 1/2 mile Little Galilee is on the right. Directions to Toledo (Cumberland) Estimated Trip Time 1:50 Take Rt 10 East toward Champaign Take Interstate 72 East toward Champaign Take Interstate 57 South Take Exit 190A toward Charleston (Rt 16) Turn Right on County Road 870E (first stop light) This road changes names twice (Lincoln Highway Road, then County Road 100N) After a total of about 9 miles, turn right on County Road 1200E After about a mile this becomes CR-2 - STAY on for another 7+ miles When you go through TOLEDO, IL, take Rt 121 East out of town for about 3 miles The school is on that road Directions to El Paso - Furrow Farm Estimated Trip Time 1 Hour This is information from the Coach at El Paso. Parking directions at the end of this "path": "Our course is just North of El Paso. Go to El Paso via Interstate 39, exiting at Exit 14. Head East into town to the four-way stop (intersection of 251 and 24). Turn North (left) on 251 and go about a mile and a half. My driveway is on the left hand side of the road just after the big green and white Morton building. The address is 1149 State Route 251. Once on the gravel drive take it past the brick house and the pond to the white farm house." Note: The driveway is before the cemetery. Directions to Monticello Lodge Park Estimated Trip Time 35 Minutes Go East on Route 10 to Deland and turn right at "Monticello" sign (just past Caseys) Get on Route 72 East before entering Monticello Take the next exit "Market Street" Just as you complete the (long) off-ramp, turn right at the first chance you get. This should take you over the Interstate and by a car dealership Lodge Park is just around the curve and on the left side of the road. Directions to Kickapoo State Park, Danville Estimated Trip Time 1:20 Go to Farmer City and through town to the Interstate 74 on ramp - take 74 East toward Champaign. Stay on 74 until exit 206. Take Exit 206 toward Potomac/Oakwood. Turn LEFT onto County Road 10. In about ½ mile or so you will need to turn RIGHT onto Glenburn Creek Road. This road becomes Kickapoo Park Road. This should go into the park. You will have to turn left at the Stop Sign to 'stay on' Kickapoo Park Road. Shortly after that you will see the course/tents, etc. in an opening to the left. An access road goes left for parking. Directions to Detweiler Park, Peoria Estimated Trip Time 1:20 Detweiler Park in Northern part of Peoria - Dirctions are on the website below http://maps.google.com/maps?z=13&q=40.793822,-89.57943 (Detweiller Park, Peoria) OR Take 51 North to 74 West (toward Peoria) When you get into the Peoria Area, take the exit for Route 150 When you get to the exit for Illinois Central College and Rte 24, take 24W across the River As you get to the end of the bridge, take the exit for Rte 29 Turn left at the Light from the off-ramp Stay on Rt 29 for several miles. Detweiler Park is on the left side. Directions to Prairie Central Invitational Estimated Trip Time 1:10 " Leave Clinton and head north on US Route 51 " When you get to Bloomington, take the exit for I-74 West toward Peoria/Rockford " Continue on I-55 North toward Chicago " Take Exit 187 - US-24 Chenoa/El Paso onto W Cemetery Ave (US-24 East) toward Chenoa: Stay on for 12.3 Miles " Turn Right on to S 7th Street (County Road 6) for 0.6 Miles Directions to Rochester Community Park Estimated Trip Time Little over an Hour Take Rt 54 toward Springfield - Merge onto Interstate 55 SOUTH Take Exit 96A, IL 29 South toward Taylorville (about 4 miles on this road) Turn Right onto MAIN ST/TEBBE ROAD (1 mile to park) Turn Right onto EBEL DRIVE (this is the last road - after ball diamonds) Directions to "Toledo - Cumberland HS" Estimated Trip Time 1:50 If you know how to get to Mattoon: Go to Mattoon and then take
121 through Toledo and the school is on the right side of the road outside
of Toledo. Otherwise, you can go to

Take Route 10 to 72 East 72 East to 57 South 57 South to Exit 190A 1 Mile to first light - turn Right 9.3 Miles - go past "Clearwater" turn right at Water Tower (Toledo 8, Janesville 1 sign) Go into Toledo to Stop Sign Turn Left (this is Rt 121) Gou through "Square", following signs to stay on 121 High School is on Right Side of Road a few miles East of town on Route 121 Directions to Dawson Lake Start Area Estimated Trip Time 40 Minutes Go North on 51 to Heyworth Exit - Turn Right on 136 Turn Left on County HWY 2450E ("Leroy Spur") You will cross Interstate 74 and go into Leroy across RR tracks Turn Left on Walnut ST (HWY 150)and go around two curves Take the first Right (this will take you out of town to the North - this is still HWY 21 or 2600E or in town it is North West St) Take the right that goes into Moraine View State Park (road number E 900) Be careful that when the road curves the second time, you must go straight into the park There is a sign for the Park. When the road ends, turn right. Then turn at the first left into the dock area. Park there. The race starts and finishes at the dock area Directions to Wimple Park in Tuscola Estimated Trip Time 1:10 Take 10 East toward Champaign. Get on 72 East. When you get to the 57 South exit - take it. Tuscola is around Exit 212. Take this exit into Tuscola. Turn left at the light onto the main street (rte 36 or E Southline Drive). Go until you get to "Egyptian Trail Road" and turn LEFT. Follow this road until you see the small sign on the right side of the road that indicates to turn LEFT to get to Wimple Park. Follow the signs after that. Directions to Maxwell Park, Normal Estimated Trip Time 45 Minutes Take Route 51 to Normal and continue through town until you get past the ISU stadium. Turn left at Gregory Street. Take this until you come to a stop sign and turn left. Maxwell Park is on the right. Directions to University High Champaign (Uni-High) Estimated Trip Time Just Under 1 Hour The course is on the University of Illinois Campus near the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Florida Avenue. Here is one possible set of directions: Take Rte 54 East to Farmer City. Go through Farmer City and take I-74 East toward Champaign. Take Exit 183 Lincoln Avenue in Champaign-Urbana and turn RIGHT onto Lincoln Avenue. The Illini Meadows area (and Florida Avenue) is about 2.5 miles on this road. Directions to Unity High School, Tolono Estimated Trip Time 1 Hour Take Route 10 East to 72. Take I-72 East to I-57 South. Take I-57 South to Exit 229. Take Exit 229 and turn toward Willard Airport (east). Keep on this road until it comes to a "T" and then turn right. This goes to Tolono. When you get into Tolono follow the signs to the school.
